The field of dentistry is continually changing and we want our patients and families to know how we are making continuous efforts to stay current with these advancements.
I sat down recently to complete the renewal of my dental license. Every two years, all dentists are required to complete a certain number of continuing education requirements. I was amazed to see in this renewal period how I had not only met but exceeded the number of hours in courses such as Dental Implant Planning, Advanced Invisalign Treatment, and Red Cross CPR.
Besides the required CE hours, there are many additional training sessions and staff meetings we hold within our own office to be sure we are providing the highest standard of care. Customer service improvements, training in the amazing SureSmile technology, and improving efficiency in care using the advancements in the latest in wire and bracket systems are some of the additional courses my staff and I have completed.

Dr. Michael Mahaffey earned his dental degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and Master of Science in Orthodontics degree from Saint Louis University.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, South Metro Atlanta Dental Society, Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Georgia Association of Orthodontists.
